Re-development
We drew up a list of ideas that we think would make a huge difference to the way the church, and the people of Hillsborough, will be able to use the buildings here at Trinity. These plans included four main elements:
There are other smaller changes, and you can read all about them in the Vision Group’s leaflet ‘Building for the future’ that you can download here:

Obviously this all needs a major dose of detailed planning and decision-making. Then we will have to build on our existing Development Fund, attract further grants and raise money from events and generous givers, so that we can put the plans into effect. Work is ongoing but please check our 'What's New' tab as we’ll post further news as it emerges.
- A re-designed church, with more flexible seating, a new glass-screened welcome lobby, and underfloor heating to make it warmer;
- A new modern office space for our Ministers, new toilets and a shower room, storage and a glazed entrance directly into church. The space will provide a light, open and welcoming space and will be able to service concerts and other public events as well as church and community events;
- A new glass entrance from street level on Middlewood road, so that people can see into the lobby and walk in off the street into a welcoming entrance, central to the building. There will be a lift for those who have mobility needs;
- A re-organizing of the upstairs rooms, to reclaim them from years of neglect and make a warm and flexible suite of rooms for meetings and events.

On Sunday 16th November 2014 Hillsborough Trinity Re-dedicated the Worship area! We also officially welcomed members from Carlton Road URC and commissioned Kerry Bentley the new Church Community Worker. We were sung to by the Karen Choir and Hillsborough Trinity Choir. Our District Chair Rev'd Gill Newton preached and David Blunkett MP shared a message with us. It was a good day of celebrations as we opened up the church to the community to come have a look around and share lunch with us.
